JCSU announces Tami B. Simmons as new vice president of Institutional Advancement
Charlotte, N.C./Sept. 21, 2017--Johnson C. Smith University is pleased to announce the appointment of Tami B. Simmons as vice president of Institutional Advancement. Simmons, a member of JCSU’s Board of Trustees, serves as executive director of Susan G. Komen Charlotte having joined the organization in 2012. She will assume her new role at the University on Oct. 18, 2017, to head the areas of fundraising and development, communications and marketing, and alumni relations. Ms. Simmons will resign from the JCSU Board of Trustees at the end of September.

The Board of Trustees of Johnson C. Smith University announced today the selection of Clarence D. “Clay” Armbrister, J.D., as the university’s 14th president, effective January 1, 2018.
