The Pride drops to 13-7 overall and 3-2 in GSAC while San Diego Christian improves to 4-10 overall and 1-4 in conference.

[Men's Basketball] SLC men put up 84 points in loss to Finlandia
MANITOWOC, Wis. - The Silver Lake College men's basketball team turned in another strong offensive performance Saturday afternoon.Unfortunately for the Lakers, however, their opponent had a slightly better offensive output.Despite a strong effort, SLC fell to Finlandia University 96-84. For the second straight game, Lakers freshman Dreshawn Dorsey recorded a career-high point total. He scored 27 points, including four three-pointers, against Finlandia, one day after scoring 24 points in a 116-66 victory over Association Free Lutheran. He also grabbed five rebounds and snared a team-high three steals.SLC junior guard Corey Lloyd finished with a season-high 20 points, including two three-pointers. He made all eight free-throw attempts, helping the Lakers go 19-of-22 overall from the free-throw line.It was the second straight game the Lakers had two players score at least 20 points.Also scoring in double figures for SLC was freshman guard Marcellus Duckworth, who had 13 points, six rebounds, two steals and a game-high nine assists.Junior guard David Hughes scored seven points, while sophomore guard Taylor Harper and freshman forward Gabriel Kerrihard each finished with six points. Harper added six rebounds and three assists.Freshman forwards Nick Garcia and Alberto Villanueva Tormo each added two points, while freshman guard-forward Kymble Harris scored one point.

MANITOWOC, Wis. - It didn't take long for the Silver Lake College women's basketball team to turn things around on Saturday.After falling behind 20-12 in the first quarter, the Lakers stormed back to take a 30-29 advantage heading into the halftime break.From there, SLC never took its foot off the gas, outscoring Finlandia 21-11 in the third quarter and 18-7 in the fourth quarter en route to a 69-47 victory over the Lions, an NCAA Division III opponent.Since the holiday break, the Lakers have won six of their last seven games, boosting their season record to 11-7.Sophomore forward Tasha Rabe tied her season high with 16 points to lead the Lakers' offensive attack. She also grabbed seven rebounds and had three assists.Also scoring in double digits for SLC were junior forward Hailee Kotche and senior guard Danielle Byrum.Kotche finished with 14 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three blocked shots.Byrum hit three three-pointers en route to 11 points, while adding six rebounds.Freshman forward Paige Boden contributed nine points and pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds.Senior forward Danelle Buck scored eight points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished off three assists.Junior guard Ashley Rumlow buried a pair of three-pointers and finished with six points, while freshman guard Angie Kudick scored five points and added four assists.Sophomore guard Carla Martinez had two rebounds, while junior forward Hannah Severin and freshman forward Sierra Schobert each had one rebound.
